Team Penguin is preparing some events to celebrate their upcoming 200th thread on penguin hunting and locations for World 60. Some may be familiar with their group from the 4 clan chats that they run to give up-to-date locations on the 10 pesky penguins.

Listed below is information on some events that have been planned for that week so that everyone can prepare for them and join in the festivities. All are welcome whether you spy your weekly penguins or not. To join, please post on the official thread, here.

Our current scheduled events are:

Achievement Run - get your 99 capes or level goals in a group with others

We are looking for brave souls out to obtain a skill cape or overall skill goal level (1900, 2000, 2100, etc) to celebrate 200 weeks of penguin hunting. This event will involve a special penguin tour to all "safe" (non-wilderness) penguins. We will then head over to Chuck the Polar Bear in Ardougne Zoo to turn in our penguin points for experience to obtain the final goal level and set off mass fireworks.

Those earning capes will then go off to get their skillcapes and we will rejoin at the Team Penguin clan citadel to celebrate everyone's achievements.

Penguin Bombing on World 60 (creating fun chaos with wind-up penguins)

We're in for a chaotic Sunday afternoon on World 60! We will tour around Runescape, unleashing penguins in various locations in a flash-mob-style event. We will meet at Lumbridge Castle. We will march from there to Ardougne Zoo, passing and bombing through different locations, such as the Grand Exchange and Falador's Square.

What is a penguin tour?
On a penguin tour we visit all of the penguins for that week (there are 10) as a group. Basically, everybody follows one person, and that person takes the followers to all the penguins. We always visit penguins that require no quest first, followed by quest penguins, and end with wild penguins (since it is a dangerous area, bring only a bow and no arrows).

Awesome! When does it happen?
The tour happens soon after penguins reset each week. Specifically they happen at 1:30am GMT, and 2:00am GMT on Wednesday morning (for North America this will be Tuesday night). Check out http://www.timezoneconverter.com/ to convert those to the appropriate timezone for yourself.

The RuneSlayer team is planning on releasing some awesome new signatures but for that to happen we need to collect some RuneScape poses for the signatures.
What is a pose you ask? It is simply a screenshot of your character wearing a particular outfit or doing certain emote.

Guidelines to Submitting Poses:

• High Detail Enabled
  
• Anti-Alising on (if you can't turn it on, we will still accept, but on is preferred)
  
• Make sure your character is slightly angled to the left (or right).
  
• When submitting outfit poses (example) take the screenshots of your character in the Equipment Stats window
  
• When submitting emote poses (example) take the screenshots on your house lawn with ground decorations off

So come on and submit your poses today! Make RuneSlayer's new signatures your own

Hi, guys. It's been a while since we've done an in-game event (not counting our weekly Penguins), so we figured that we would try something new. Starting this month, we would like to take some time, one Sunday a month, to go and give back to the community. We are giving the name of this event: Making A Difference.

It was inspired by a stickied post on the RuneScape Official Forums (it has the same title as the event). The idea is to go and help out some new comers to the game, on a free world.

Right now, we only have a limited plan on how to help them. We would like everyone who attends this event to help get suits of armor, and weapons, to new players that obviously need them. We are not trying to provoke begging, but we are trying to let people who are new to the game know that this community is a great one.

Some of you can just buy the bars and make the armor yourself, but we would prefer that you come with us and mine all of the ore needed, and smelt/smith it into the armor and weapons. This is a great way to meet other people from the RuneSlayer community, and it gives us more time to hang out, as opposed to running around looking for people who don't have gear on.
