Network Administrator
As many of you know, we opened our doors one year ago, TODAY. It has been an amazing one year, and we have met quite a bit of our goals. I just wanted to say thanks to all the staff and administrators who have helped make this update possible.
First off, we have seven quest guides for you! Elemental Workshop I, Witch's House, The Eyes of Glouphrie, Fishing Contest, Forgettable Tale of a Drunken Dwarf, Haunted Mine, and Perils of Ice Mountain! Some of these guides might be missing minor images due to the fact of going through and doing them so fast. If you happen to have an image, feel free to submit it.
Second, we have three new skill guides for you tonight! Learn all the basics about Crafting in the Crafting Skill Guide, or if you are more in the mood for tasty "Tangled toad's legs" head down to the Cooking Skill Guide and learn about all the amazing things you would have never guessed existed in-game as food. For all you mining-junkies, we have also added a Mining Skill Guide.
Third, we are introducing a new area to the site; Activity Guides. We have the Conquest Guide to start this section off.
Fourth, we have totally revamped our skill calculators and the system behind them. You can now sort based on category, and level, along with them looking much better. To go along with the new system, we built the Magic Calculator. Feel free to use this great tool!
Fifth, we have added a new page to the general site; a review of Betrayal at Falador. Be sure to check out the book review, as it has a few teasers for an upcoming competition.
Sixth, we have a brand new tool in the very basics of beta (let's just say V 0.1) Our Dynamic RuneScape World Map is online, and within the next few months should be dynamically linking to our guides, and will have the labels put in. Stay tuned for this.
Seventh, we have reworked our signatures and the system behind them. We now have the signatures pulling your skills from the Adventurers Log if you are a member, so it shows all your stats if you aren't ranked. We also now have our Adventurer Log Signatures, which are created from the RSS feed from your account and to show your feed of "recent adventures in RuneScape". Please remember that your account has to be set to public to be able to use these signatures. Most importantly from this update, signatures should now have much faster load times.
Eighth, we have now added two more sites into the RuneSlayer Network. Let's welcome Runite.net and LegendsHQ.com! You can log into either of these sites with your RuneSlayer Username/Password, or you can login to RuneSlayer if you happen to have an account on one of those sites with that account. If you run into any issues with your account working, always try to login first on RuneSlayer.net before talking to an administrator.
Ninth, the forums on RuneForums, DawnForums, and LegendsHQ have all been upgraded to the latest version of IP.Board.
