Thanks to Balista, we now have our Tears of Guthix quest guide released! Don't forget we have a guide for the Distractions & Diversions activity for the Tears as well!

Second, I would like to remind everyone that we have several competitions & events going on! There are still tons of chances to win 30 Days RuneScape Membership & 1 Million GP, so check out the rules here! Also, why haven't you signed up for the January Skilling Competition yet?! We're giving away even more membership to the winners of the Skilling Competition, among other super-cool super-secret prizes, so tell your friends and sign up today!

On top of RuneSlayer's competitions, Jagex is having several of their own that have prizes you won't want to miss out on! Finally, RuneSlayer would like to remind everyone to keep their account safe. Here are some top tips straight from Jagex on how to make sure you’re not locked out in the cold this winter.

Register your e-mail account to your RuneScape account
If you forget your password you’re only an email away from getting back into game If that wasn’t reason enough, you get extra bank space too! Log into your account on www.runescape.com at the top-right corner of the main page, select "Account" and then "Account Settings" from the drop down menu for information on how to register.

Keep your password safe
Never tell your password to anyone including friends! A Jagex Mod will never ever ask you for your password, so don’t listen to anyone who does – even if they claim to work for us.

Use a unique password that’s impossible to guess.
Your password for RuneScape should be unique and not used anywhere else on the internet. Stay away from the obvious to make it impossible to guess!

Install and update anti-virus software
Install, regularly update anti-virus and anti-malware software on your computer, and run regular scans.

Be aware of phishing scams
Phishing email scams can be used to hijack your account, so be sure to verify all links before you click them. If you’re ever in doubt, then get out of there! Click here to learn how to spot a phishing email or site.

Use a bank PIN
If someone does manage to guess your password and access your account, limit the damage by having a bank PIN that only you know. Setting up a bank PIN is quick and easy – click here for instructions.

Always log out
Make sure when you are finished with your session and want to log out, that you use our official log out buttons located at the top right of the screen. If you log in via Facebook, make sure you log out of your Facebook account before you leave!

To learn more about keeping your account secure, visit the Account Security section of the RuneScape wiki.

Happy Holidays!
